About Tighe
I have completed three years of undergraduate biomedical engineering at the University of Utah with a 3.8 GPA. I plan on attending medical school at the University of Utah after I finish engineering next year. I have taken many high level physics, math, chemistry and biology courses ranging from general physics for engineers to biomechanics, college calculus 1, 2, and 3 as well as differential equations and linear algebra, and general college chemistry and organic chemistry 1 and 2. I have also designed and patented my own medical device to treat stroke patients. Aside from coursework experience, I have jumped through many hoops that it takes to become an engineer and get set up for medical school. I can provide knowledge and share experience of my journey in a top biomedical engineering program. On top of this I am a very understanding and sensible person, I want to have fun when I teach. I am on the ski team at school (hence why I go to school in Utah), and I enjoy many other sports outside of the classroom.

As a tutor, I can provide clear and effective help to better prepare students for undergraduate STEM programs. I will share my experiences and give specific course related lessons that I have found helpful for myself to my students. By giving the best strategies that I have seen over my academic career in engineering, I can better prepare and educate students on these subjects. These can be lessons for anyone in high school or baseline college levels that need help with STEM courses and/or mentoring for engineering school.
