About Trevor

I bring together a strong academic background in biomedical engineering with real classroom teaching experience, giving students both subject knowledge and practical instruction they can trust. I currently teach mathematics and have experience helping students understand challenging concepts through clear explanations, logical problem-solving, and patient guidance.

My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence. I take each student’s goals seriously and tailor lessons to their individual needs, whether they are strengthening foundational skills, preparing for an exam, or working through advanced topics such as algebra, precalculus, or calculus.

I am professional, dependable, and committed to helping students make measurable progress while developing the confidence to solve problems independently.

English

I make math clear, practical, and easier to understand by breaking complex concepts into simple steps. I focus on helping students understand why a method works, not just memorize formulas.

A typical lesson includes a quick review, clear instruction, guided practice, independent practice, and feedback tailored to the student’s needs.

What sets me apart is my background in biomedical engineering combined with classroom teaching experience. I use logical problem-solving, real-world examples, and multiple teaching strategies to help students build confidence.

I tutor students from elementary school through college in subjects including foundational math, pre-algebra, linear equations, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, precalculus, and calculus. Lessons are customized to each student’s level, pace, and goals.
