About Dylan
I'm 20 years old, and I am a Junior at the University of Missouri. I am minoring in mathematics, and I served as a peer mentor during my upperclassmen years in high school, guiding younger students through their classes. I want to keep gaining more experience in math by guiding younger students through one of my favorite subjects!
I'm planning to carry on to graduate school and get my master's in prosthetics, so I can work in a prosthetic clinic one day. My inspirations include my veteran father, the many amputees I've met during my time as a military brat, and Dr. Octopus (yes, from Spider-Man). When you're learning about something you love, you can't help but pass it on!

I’m minoring in mathematics because I love math! I've helped many younger students with difficult subjects before, and I believe that there is always another way to look at the process. Anybody can learn math, and furthermore, I think everyone should!
I'm able to tutor any math course between Jr. High-level courses and University-level Calculus. Since I'm still a student myself in higher-level math, I know the struggle of feeling like you're ramming repeatedly into a brick wall during assignments. I have overcome a lot of those hurdles to get where I am now, and I know that patience, diligence, and inquisitiveness can conquer them.
Remember, math doesn't have to be a boring, repetitive chore. When we stop robotically going through the motions and start asking questions: Why do we do it this way? How does this actually work? That kind of attitude allows us to break out of a rut, stimulate our minds, and have fun learning. In keeping with that mentality, I will also do my best to answer quick questions outside of class in a timely manner. An epiphany can come at any time!
