Imogen has been the most wonderful tutor for me throughout year 1 of uni when I had to battle with statistics and maths; I have never found maths easy. I have found that lecturers often go too fast in class and that I miss concepts entirely and need a more visual approach. Imogen is patient and takes all the time needed to allow me to understand. She will try a variety of approaches including diagrams (visual techniques) and comparisons to real life situations to enable me to picture the process that can get me to the solution. As maths is not the most visual of subjects, this technique has enabled me to grasp concepts I never thought I was capable of. As a result, I was so happy to receive a first in my statistics module and close to a first in my maths module at Uni (something I never thought I could get at the beginning).
