About Andra

I've always enjoyed my time in school helping my classmates. I kept this passion for tutoring when I was at University as well. I was involved in PASS community to provide organised sessions helping first-year students to learn better from their lectures and develop their academic skills. Every week I prepared materials and learning activities in an organised manner, booking rooms for holding the sessions and worked with my PASS leader co-partner to provide a helpful and friendly environment for students. Nowadays, I enjoy teaching KS3, GCSE and A Levels Students to help them get their best results in exams, increase their confidence and get them to find learning fun and enjoyable.

About the lesson

I provide online and in person (Sheffield, UK) for KS3/GCSE/A Level. Helping students with the following subjects: - Maths - Combined Science - Chemistry - Physics - Biology - Music Theory - Piano KS3 & GCSE for Y7 - Y11 (11-16 years) A Levels for Y12 - Y13 (16-18 years) With an experience of more than 2 years as a tutor, I am focusing on regular and encouraging feedback to support the learning process of young individuals helping them achieve their goals and improve their results in school examinations, focusing on exam technique and understanding the concepts on a deeper level. Considering all examination boards (Edexcel, AQA, OCR etc) and providing the right resources for each of them. I have experience working as a teaching assistant/SEN support worker for students in Secondary School (Y7 - Y11) and I tailor the sessions based on student's needs. I currently tutor students that includes students with dyslexia and ADHD spectrum. My approach is to create a safe space to build their confidence and adapt the pace to ensure progress. I enjoy paying attention to details to make sure I provide a customised approach for each student. My teaching style is dictated by what works for the student, being flexible and open to explain concepts and lessons in a non-traditional way which is more appealing to young individuals. Length of lessons can vary, but mostly my clients decide to have 60 mins lessons and that is my recommendation for most cases. For learning difficulties or special arrangements, I can consider 30 mins/90 mins as well.
