About Yasemin
I am originally from Istanbul and moved to the Bay Area after graduating from college, where I studied Biology at Istanbul University. Later, I pursued a master's in Biomedical Sciences from SFSU. These days, I am learning Software Development to combine both of my interests in Biology and Computer Science, aspiring to work as a Computational Biologist. I enjoy learning new languages and am currently learning French and Italian. Additionally, I love expressing myself through the lens of my camera, especially enjoying capturing the hidden details of everyday life!

I use a rationale-based approach and strive to transfer the love of learning to my students, rather than providing a bulk of information for them to memorize in order to achieve academic success. I have nearly eight years of research experience in the Bay Area, from Stanford University to UCSF, and I hope to inspire students who want to contribute to life sciences!
