About Lois
As a graduate Biomedical Scientist with a 2.1 BSc (Hons) degree in Medical Biology from Edinburgh University, I have experienced a wide range of disciplines from biochemistry, to statistics, to reproductive biology, neuroscience and more. Having been involved in a tutoring scheme with fellow students on my course at university, I feel like I know what methods of tutoring are most effective, as well as how to really engage with people in a subject they need help with.

How I like to teach is to begin with what the student knows so that I have a basis to build on. I really encourage the student to ask as many questions as possible because no question is too silly and that way we can bring any potential gaps in their knowledge. It's also important to ensure they know the basics and that we're on the same page.
