About Rebecca
Hello!
My name is Dr. Stairley, but please call me Rebecca. I have a Bachelor's in Biology from Agnes Scott College and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences, Molecular and Cellular Biology, from the Medical University of South Carolina. Currently I am working as a postdoctoral research associate at a major university. I pride myself on my ability to meet any learner where they're at and walk them through the material with whatever strategy works best for them.

I have 10+ years of experience with tutoring both individuals and workshops for small groups. For 3 of those years, I tought supplemental classes for college students through my college's tutoring program, for both STEM majors and non-STEM majors. I understand how to communicate with students of varying learning styles, so I can effectively supplement your student's lessons.
My process typically starts with a free consultation to discuss your student's needs and goals, after which we can schedule a tutoring session. I will prepare custom learning materials for your student that is theirs to keep, and I always prefer to discuss progress with the parent, if applicable.
Due to the amount of effort I put into each student, I am not able to take a large number of students at a time. So please reach out sooner rather than later if you'd like to work with me!

The best tutor I’ve ever had, helpful, resourceful, and above all else patient. From failing Chemistry H with one of the worst teachers to passing with a well above A all because of Rebecca.
Rebecca is a very bright, talented and educated young lady that has the ability to relate to her students. She tutored my son during senior year of high school which resulted in him passing with A's (above 3.5 GPA). Her ability to relate to him and his personality was a game changer in regards to him understanding the material. We were so blessed to have her as a tutor and would recommend her to anyone in need of extra help.
