As a student myself, I know the feeling of not understanding certain topics, and feeling trapped. However, through the past years, I have been able to find different ways to get around these obstacles, especially in math. About the lesson

We start each session by setting a goal. This could be understanding a specific concept, reviewing homework or preparing for a test. After, we will review any previous material, such as homework, and identify any mistakes or struggles. From here we should be able to find any material that could be taught or reinforced. At that point, I will hand out independent practice, and give assistance when needed. Wrapping up the session, we will do a quick review over everything that we have discussed, and check on if we completed our goal.
