About Shiza
I am currently in my third year of a Biotechnology degree at McMaster University and have been tutoring for the past 8 years in a variety of different courses such as Functions, Calculus, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics. I enjoy teaching and helping students achieve success with their academics I can help with homework, studying for tests, and improving your understanding of difficult concepts.

I always do my best to ensure a positive and encouraging learning environment. My approach is to initially gain an understanding of where the student is in the material by a quick quiz. Based on the result, I format my lessons to tackle the specific issues that the student struggles with. Depending on the subject this can range from preparing practice questions, promoting discussions, and/or through demonstrations. I take time to understand what is the best way my students will understand the material and then tailor their lessons accordingly. My experience is primarily with middle school to high school level students.
