About Belen
I am a Spanish native speaker, studying Biotechnology in The University of Manchester. I took Biology and Chemistry HL and Maths SL in the IB. Ever since I started school I have had exceptional grades. I got an excellence mention in secondary education, 88% in Bachillerato and 35 in the IB. Besides, I enjoy taking part in different extracurricular activities. From volunteering in different charities to learning languages, I am always passionate about what I do!
I have tutoring experience as a volunteer in Maths, Chemistry and Biology as well as Spanish. My students are usually 14 to 20 years old.
I also have experience working with kids. For 5 moths I looked after a 5 year old twice a week.

With my Science students I usually go through their class books and solve their doubts. I also bring some notes of my own that might help the student understand the contents. For both Science and Maths we pick several exercises from the class book. I ask the student to do it while I solve and compare answers, then explain to the student the process I have followed.
I also have experience teaching Spanish, both pronunciation and grammar. I am willing to try and help students learn my native language. I could help with everything from verb conjugations to Spanish idioms. What I think helps the most to become fluent in any language is conversation classes, and who would be better to do this than a native speaker?
