About Terry
Spending 8 years performing across the Bay Area shaped how I approach the keys. I hold a BM from Berklee College of Music and enjoy integrating ear training with pop and contemporary styles. Developing accompaniment skills alongside memorization techniques keeps my own practice sharp.
Students often find that dynamics and expression improve alongside solid pedaling technique. Working through scales and arpeggios provides the foundation for classical repertoire. Sight playing and exploring new chord voicing options round out the work we do.

Fluency at the keyboard comes from building solid mechanics that support your musical voice. Practice is structured into 8 weekly modules that ensure constant progress.
I emphasize clarity in sight reading and technical precision during our time together. Developing a strong sense of rhythm is part of my method for every student.
You get a direct look into how I build arrangements from scratch. It is rewarding to see learners connect the theory to the songs they love. I enjoy seeing the progress you make each week.
