About Damon
Honestly, teaching guitar became the best part of my week after I started pulling from 13 years of gigging across the West Coast. I spent 10 years helping folks move past the basics by focusing on lead guitar, ear training, and fingerpicking while keeping things light. My Bachelor of Music from Berklee means I know the rules, but I prefer showing you how to break them.
It is pretty simple how I work. I figure out where you are stuck, give you a few tricks for tuning and maintenance, and we get to work on songwriting. I have seen countless students transform their playing by simply treating the fretboard like a playground instead of a textbook.

Fingers tangling during a chord change is the most common frustration I encounter, but that stiff feeling vanishes once we connect the motion to a song you actually love. You tell me your favorite tracks, and I will craft 6 simplified arrangements that highlight the theory without the headache.
My 10 years of professional performance experience means I can translate those complex studio sounds into something you can handle right now. Everything rests on a solid foundation of theory hidden inside riffs you already know. Berklee taught me how to break down music into its smallest parts, which makes the learning process feel natural rather than academic. You will be playing your requested songs with full confidence by the time we finish our 6 week plan.
