About Joe
Ear training, music theory, and barre chords are the foundation of my teaching style. Being a self-taught player with 12 years of gigging under my belt, I spent 9 years touring North America while obsessing over Hendrix. I focus on helping adult hobbyists and returning players break out of pentatonic jail. Teaching has become the most rewarding part of my weekly routine.
I have worked with dozens of students ranging from complete beginners to intermediate players seeking structure. Guitar is a language that demands respect. Do you want to stop guessing and start playing with intention?

Grabbing your guitar and plugging into an amp starts our first session together. I offer a free trial session to assess your starting level before we map out a plan. We evaluate your current skills against the primary sources of rock guitar history.
