About Mark
Instructional time focuses on rigorous technique through the RCM syllabus. 60 minutes of focused practice builds lasting musical foundations. Ear training and music theory provide context for every bow stroke.
I emphasize left hand agility to ensure clean intonation. My BMus training informs every aspect of my feedback. Spiccato and staccato bowing receive detailed attention.
12 years of teaching help me identify precise technical hurdles quickly. You will see steady progress toward your grade exam goals. We will secure your position as a confident performer.

Scales, arpeggios, and precise bowing technique define my approach to the violin for you. Mastering vibrato and shifting positions requires disciplined work. I earned a BMus from Humber College and completed my RCM Grade 10 credentials. My experience spans 12 years of instructing students.
I teach absolute beginners alongside advanced exam candidates. Kids and performance-focused students thrive under my guidance. Working professionals also find space in my studio.
Playing music remains a deeply rewarding pursuit for me. Seeing students achieve their goals brings joy to the process.
