About Meredith
Teaching allows me to share the technical discipline I developed over 13 years of ensemble performance. I have worked with 129 students to develop their skills in jazz improvisation, sight playing, and memorization techniques.
My piano instruction focuses on sight transposition, classical repertoire, pop and contemporary styles, and exam prep. I also emphasize dynamics, expression, rhythm, and timing to help musicians achieve true versatility. Helping students master these complex mechanical challenges is immensely enjoyable.

You start our first session by playing through a piece that challenges your current technical boundaries. I observe your habits closely to identify areas for immediate improvement. With 11 years of experience, I provide direct feedback on your phrasing and rhythmic accuracy. We practice sight reading to build your facility with the keyboard.
These sessions remain focused on building your confidence and musical independence. Just let me know if you are ready to begin.
