About Silas
Students preparing for rigorous music assessments often require a structural overhaul of their technical foundation. I begin by analyzing double stops and left hand agility to ensure that every movement serves the musical goal. My 13 years of experience in classical repertoire allows me to pinpoint exactly why a student might struggle with spiccato and staccato bowing.
Music has been my life since childhood and I hold a BMus in Violin Performance from The Juilliard School. I emphasize tuning by ear and advanced scales and arpeggios to build precision. Music theory and vibrato remain central to my practice, though the focus often fades into the quiet discipline of daily repetition.
