About Rachael
Board-certified hospital scientist with a B.S. in Chemistry, minor in mathematics, and post-baccalaureate certificate in Clinical Laboratory Sciences. Tutored middle school, high school, and college-level students in areas like scientific writing, sciences, math, and English literature on and off for the last 18 years! I'm friendly, a mom of two elementary school kids, and definitely not the "typical" scientist stereotype. I love helping others not only understand science, but fall in love with it!

My goal is for the student to not only understand the question or lesson at hand, but to be able to comfortably describe and understand the bigger concept. I work with the student's way of learning--whether its practicing problems over and over, discussing "real life" examples of the applied concept, or visual flashcard games, i like to teach toward the student's way of digesting and understanding information.
