About Akira
I am a Boise State University student who spent 18 years living in Japan before continuing my education in the United States. My experience studying in two different educational systems allows me to explain concepts clearly and adapt to different learning styles.
I am passionate about helping students build confidence in mathematics and Japanese. I focus on understanding rather than memorization, creating a supportive and professional learning environment where students can achieve their academic goals.

I am a Boise State University student who lived in Japan for 18 years before moving to the United States. Having experienced both education systems, I understand the challenges of adapting to different learning styles. My tutoring focuses on building a strong foundation and teaching students to solve problems independently. A typical lesson includes a review, clear explanations, and guided practice to ensure comprehension. My bilingual and cross-cultural background allows me to offer unique perspectives and support for both Japanese and English-speaking students. I provide math and homework assistance for K-12 students of all levels, and more advanced ones for Japanese students that are older.
