About Rajani

I am a professional dance artist originally from Chennai, India. I started learning Bharatnatyam from the age of 4. I have danced professionally in a reputable Indian dance company for over 8 years, performing and teaching various forms of dance.

I have also participated and won multiple reality dance competitions in India. I was involved in the creation of a Bollywood dance tutorial for Scottish TV (STV Dance Appeal) in Glasgow and performed with the Edinburgh Bhangra Group at the Edinburgh Mela 2013. I was also an artist co ordinator for the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo 2015 auditioning 30 local dancers, training them and danced alongside 120 Bollywood dancers. I was invited to attend the civic reception with the Lord Provost of Edinburgh for the launch of UK-India Cultural Year 2017. I was in charge of the Indian navy and dancers at the Edinburgh Military Tattoo, 2017 and co-ordinated various shows during the festival.

I am very passionate about teaching and sharing the joy of dancing. Ages from 5 years.

About the lesson

My teaching method is having a lot of fun and letting go of inhibitions through interactive warm ups.
