About James

I’m James, a passionate Business Studies teacher with experience supporting GCSE and A-Level students. I am someone who believes learning should be both meaningful and enjoyable. I currently teach Business Studies and Computing because I love helping students discover how the subjects connect to real-life situations and future opportunities. Teaching gives me the chance to make a real difference—supporting students to gain confidence, think critically, and reach their full potential. My goal is to create a positive, encouraging environment where every student feels heard, challenged, and inspired to succeed. I have a degree in Business Management and Marketing, have retail management experience, as well as a QTS and am currently teaching Business Studies.

About the lesson

I’ve taught and developed lessons where I focused on making learning engaging, practical, and tailored to individual student needs. I help students build confidence, improve exam technique, and achieve excellent grades while developing a genuine understanding of business concepts. Beyond the classroom, I bring leadership experience from curriculum planning and fostering collaborative environments, ensuring students and colleagues alike feel supported and heard. My lessons combine clear explanations, real-world examples, and structured exam practice to give every student the tools they need to succeed. --- Lesson Approach Assessment: Identify strengths and areas for improvement Tailored Lessons: Focus on key topics and skills Exam Practice: Past papers, essay techniques, and problem-solving Progress Tracking: Regular feedback to monitor improvement I am currently teaching Computing alongside Business Studies, but the school I currently teach at is with OCR as the exam board, however, I'm open to all exam boards
