About Lixuan

As a native Chinese speaker, I am deeply proud of my country’s rich culture and history, and I’m passionate about sharing it with others. I believe that learning a language is one of the best ways to foster intercultural communication, helping people understand and appreciate each other’s backgrounds.

During my time studying and living in the UK, I naturally became a Chinese teacher to many of my foreign friends, and I found teaching to be not only interesting but also deeply rewarding. I focus on creating a fun, engaging classroom atmosphere where students can learn with ease and confidence. I tailor each lesson to fit the student’s needs, ensuring that whether you’re a beginner or more advanced, the material is relevant and enjoyable.

I’m also incredibly patient and welcoming, open to students from all levels and backgrounds. My lessons go beyond just the language – I integrate Chinese culture, stories, and real-life situations, making the learning experience dynamic and comprehensive. My ultimate goal is to help each student achieve their personal language goals, whether it’s fluency, cultural understanding, or communication for travel and business.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is highly personalized and adaptable, tailored to the unique needs and goals of each student. Whether you're just starting out with Chinese or looking to improve specific skills like reading, listening, or speaking, I adjust my methods to ensure that the lessons are engaging and effective. I believe in creating a fun and dynamic classroom atmosphere, where students feel comfortable to actively participate and practice their language skills.

A typical lesson lasts 45-50 minutes, but I'm flexible and can adjust the length depending on your schedule and learning preferences. I hold a CTCSOL (Certificate for Teachers of Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages), and as a native Chinese speaker, I provide authentic language learning experiences. Additionally, my advanced English skills allow me to assist English-speaking students when necessary, making the learning process smoother.

My lessons are perfect for anyone who wants to learn Chinese from scratch or for those who want to enhance their Chinese language skills in specific areas like conversation, comprehension, or literacy, regardless of age or background.
