About Elisa
Hi, I'm Elisa! I'm an experienced language teacher passionate about helping students achieve real fluency. Having gone through language learning myself, including adapting to a new language while living abroad, I understand what actually works beyond textbook theory. I hold a BA in Languages (Portuguese and German) from UFMG in Brazil and am currently completing my MSc in Multilingual Technologies at the University of Vienna, Austria. With years of experience teaching Portuguese and German to kids, teenagers, and adults, alongside 5+ years of freelance translation, I combine strong academic training with practical methods. Beyond teaching, I’m passionate about books, fashion, handcrafting, music, and exploring new cultures and perspectives.

As a native Brazilian Portuguese teacher with a degree in Languages and over four years of living and studying in Brazil and Austria, my approach combines academic expertise with practical, real-world communication.
Having mastered multiple languages myself, I focus on dynamic, student-centered lessons that blend active speaking, immersive materials, and real-life scenarios tailored to Brazilian culture and language nuances. A typical session includes a warm-up conversation, a core interactive topic based on your interests, immediate practice through role-play or discussion, and constructive feedback in a safe, supportive environment where you can speak without fear of making mistakes.
My lessons are designed for learners of all levels, from absolute beginners building a foundation to advanced students polishing their Portuguese fluency for daily life, travel, career, or academic goals.
