About Raina
"Earning an MA Spanish from the University of Massachusetts Amherst provided the academic rigor that defines my teaching but my true expertise stems from growing up in Mexico City. Most individuals I assist are heritage learners who require support formalizing the linguistic intuition they already possess. My professional background as a translator ensures that I approach verb conjugation and vocabulary building with technical precision.
Across 5 years of instruction, I have guided many students through the nuance of Latin American versus Castilian variants. It is a genuine joy to support your linguistic growth as we explore the beauty of Spanish together."

"Focusing on role play and dialogue practice makes the time we spend together feel like a natural conversation rather than a rigid classroom lecture. Starting with a diagnostic level test allows me to map out a path that honors your unique starting point.
I incorporate reading comprehension, listening practice, and travel Spanish into our workflow to ensure you feel prepared for real world interactions. My 5 years of experience means I can quickly pivot between grammar drills and pronunciation coaching when you hit a difficult spot.
Clear communication is the foundation of our work. I prioritize clarity above all else. I look forward to helping you express your thoughts with confidence and grace."
