Bridging your academic and professional success in Austin, TX based upon 33 years of experience in education.

Your experience will be interactive. This means you will be engaged in the material by me asking you questions about what the next steps you need to take will be. For example, the best way to understand this paragraph in your textbook is to read the first and last sentences to get the gist of the the information and pay attention to the examples given in the body of the paragraph which substantiates the writer's ideas. After which, you will do the same. In addition, by talking about the material with someone else, you will likely retain much more of the information., We learn by teaching others which is what you will be doing!

Since entering the field of education in 1985, I have combined my business acumen and mentoring skills to advise students from all backgrounds, including students of color, low income, first generation, disabled, traditional, non-traditional, graduate, undergraduate, transfer, women, international and LGBTQ, to name a few. I specialize in helping them discover their passions, strengths and career goals, as well as assisting them in making the transition from high school to college and from college to the professional world of work. I also have extensive experience mentoring college students as they transition through each year of their undergraduate experience and make the jump to graduate school. Guiding students to realize their fullest potential is my passion. I have played a key role in preparing students to enter an extremely competitive, increasingly global marketplace by teaching them the skills they need academically, culturally, interpersonally, politically and socially. I am also adept at the confluence of those skills relative to their leadership development. I communicate in a myriad of different styles in order to fit the situation and persons I am working with, whether that be in small or large groups or one-on-one.
