About Alice
With 10 A*s at GCSEs and A* predicted at A-level, I have an ethic of hard work and success that I would like to share with younger children. I attend Old Palace, a selective girls school, and successfully tutored my brother for the 11+ exam. I have plenty of experience with younger children from previous volunteering and I really enjoy working with them. I would also be very suitable in tutoring students preparing for GCSE since I am quite close in age with them and I understand common mistakes at that stage.

In my experience of tutoring my 10 year old brother for the 11+, I have developed a precise and clear method in teaching. After grasping an understanding of the student's current knowledge, I work through questions methodically and slowly, constantly checking to see if they are still on board. My methods also vary depending on the age of the student. While younger students prefer more interactive, visual methods, older students benefit more from working through exam questions.

She takes an individualistic approach and is extremely warm, meaning that all her help is tailored specifically to the pupil; she is a really encouraging and supportive tutor and will ensure that the pupil understands something thoroughly.
