About Brume
Hello there! My name is Brume and I am a Maths Tutor. I am currently in the final year of my integrated Masters in Mathematics from the University of Bristol.
I have a passion for my subject that I love to foster in others. I believe in building on my students' understanding of the material, not just how to get a good grade in exams.
I am qualified to tutor in all levels of Maths and Further Maths up to degree level, including 11+, GCSE, A-level. I can also tutor in various Pure and Statistics units at university, including Probability, Analysis, Algebra and more.
My experience as a tutor includes over 50 hours of acting as a teaching assistant in a GCSE Maths class and running a tutoring group for younger students. I was successful in both of these roles, seeing grades and receiving positive feedback with most of the students.
My teaching style primarily focuses on helping students gain a true understanding of the material through worked solutions and assessment of my students thought processes. I also build confidence in my students, which can often be the biggest barrier to doing well in Maths.
