About Opal
I am a dedicated ESL tutor with 14 years of experience teaching High School and College students. I have successfully taught 150–200 students, helping them improve their English skills and achieve academic success.
My passion for teaching comes from seeing students grow and gain confidence. I focus on grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, and speaking. I create lessons that are practical, engaging, and easy to understand, encouraging students to actively participate and practise.
A significant milestone in my career has been helping students develop fluency and confidence in communication. Many have improved their exam scores and participated confidently in presentations and class discussions.
I adapt my teaching style to each student’s pace and learning needs. My mission is to inspire students to enjoy learning English and reach their full potential.

My ESL teaching methodology emphasises confidence, real-world application, and steady progress. I use real-life examples and case studies such as workplace conversations, academic discussions, travel scenarios, and everyday interactions to make lessons practical and engaging. Students practise speaking, listening, reading, and writing in interactive and structured ways.
Motivation is central to my teaching; I encourage students with achievable goals, positive feedback, and recognition of progress. When difficulties appear, I apply problem-solving strategies to clarify grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. Integrity guides my teaching, and I maintain honesty, professionalism, and respect in every session.
Flexibility allows me to adapt lessons according to the student’s pace, goals, and learning style. In addition to ESL, I teach spoken English, business communication, academic writing, and grammar fundamentals.
