About Malli
I am a professional piano tutor with 9 years of experience and a record of teaching around 300 students, including high school learners, college students, and adults. My lessons focus on developing technical skill, musical understanding, and performance confidence while fostering creativity and expressive playing.
My teaching philosophy balances structured instruction with encouragement, emphasising posture, hand coordination, finger exercises, scales, chord transitions, rhythm, sight-reading, and musical interpretation. I help students connect emotionally with their music while ensuring technical accuracy and clarity.
Each lesson includes technical exercises, theory, repertoire practice, and performance preparation, along with guidance for effective home practice. Many students have performed successfully in recitals, competitions, and school programmes, while several have achieved high distinctions in graded examinations. My mission is to nurture confident, expressive, and skilled pianists with a lifelong love for music.

I focus on developing technical precision, hand coordination, rhythm control, scale fluency, dynamic expression, and confident performance skills. I guide students step by step, ensuring they fully understand each concept before moving forward.
If challenges arise, I adapt my teaching style and provide additional exercises for clarity and reinforcement. Collaboration keeps students motivated, as they help set goals and choose music that aligns with their aspirations.
I foster a positive learning atmosphere where effort, persistence, and improvement are consistently celebrated. In addition to piano instruction, I teach music theory, ear training, sight-reading, harmony, and beginner composition to help students become well-rounded, confident, and independent musicians prepared for long-term musical success.
