About David
Hello! I’m an OCT-certified teacher with additional qualifications in French as a Second Language, six years of tutoring experience, and three years of occasional teaching. I have worked with students across many grades and with adult learners, supporting a range of learning needs and goals.
Having studied translation and spent many years learning and using French, I bring a strong understanding of language and an appreciation for the effort learning it takes. I aim to create a welcoming environment where you can ask questions, make mistakes, and develop your skills with confidence.
I bring patience, professionalism, and clear communication to each session. Whether you need support with school French or want to use the language in everyday life or at work, I’m committed to helping you make meaningful progress.

A typical initial lesson includes a diagnostic task to assess your level of French and identify your learning needs and goals. I then select appropriate resources and materials, aligning lessons with relevant curriculum requirements or your personal and professional objectives. Throughout our work together, I provide constructive feedback to guide your progress. Depending on your needs and goals, lessons can include speaking, listening, reading, writing, and support with schoolwork or the French you need in your professional life/work.
