About Harriet

As a recent graduate in Spanish from the renowned University of Bristol, I bring a fresh, highly effective perspective to language tuition. Having navigated the rigours of modern language exams myself very recently, I know exactly what it takes to succeed; I have a wealth of active revision strategies, exam shortcuts, and study tricks fresh in my mind to share with my students. My academic foundation is backed by extensive real-world fluency gained from living and working in Argentina, as well as immersion in Spain, allowing me to teach authentic, natural Spanish alongside standard grammar. Combined with my experience at an Oxford International Summer School and my time tutoring GCSE students, I offer a professional, highly credible, and empathetic approach. I understand the pressure students face, and I am fully equipped to guide you towards fluency and exam success with absolute confidence.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology is built entirely around you; I do not use rigid, one-size-fits-all lesson plans. In our very first session, I will assess your current ability, identify your unique learning style, and map out exactly what you need to achieve your goals. Once I pinpoint your specific weaknesses, we pivot our focus to conquer those exact areas—turning your pain points into your greatest strengths. A typical lesson is fluid and shaped by your target focus:
- Core Skills Mastery: We can target grammar, vocabulary, reading, listening, or writing through tailored exercises.
- Conversational Lessons: Sessions are completely driven by your personal interests and needs, using real-world context to build natural fluency fast.
- GCSE & A-Level Prep: We dive deep into your specific exam board texts, set films, and mark schemes to master exam techniques. What makes my method different is this total adaptability.
