About Iarla
My name is Iarla, I am a professional bass player living in Dublin and have been playing the bass for 9 years. I have just recently graduated from BIMM University, with a BA Hons in Commercial Modern Music. I have experience in session work around Dublin, and have performed in venues such as the National Concert Hall, the Button Factory, Electric Picnic, Body & Soul and the Barbican Hall. Music Theory is an endlessly fascinating subject, and it continues to amaze me with every new chord progression I come across. I think it is important for any songwriter or musician to be somewhat familiar with the basics of music theory, as it allows for infinitely better communication with other musicians as well as the audience.

With these lessons, the aim will be to teach you the basics and theoretical concepts of music. I can offer lessons on a multitude of topics, including: -Notation -Harmony -Melody -Chordal theory -Advanced Theory -Jazz Theory -Scales -Ear Training I offer lessons from beginner to advanced, to children and adults. Whether you want to be able to identify any chord progression in a song or want to understand the theory behind them, I can guide you through it.
