About Lui

My name is Lewis, on a day to day basis I revolve my life around traveling and teaching abroad, I have one year of experience abroad in china and one year in England at different school placements around the Newcastle upon Tyne area.

I graduated from Northumbria university in 2017 with a Higher Education Foundation Diploma including TESOL (teaching English to speakers of other languages)

Whilst in beijing I was a kindergarten teacher who was primarily responsible for the demonstration of the schools English teaching experience for students whilst parents were also present every week, along with giving regular lessons to students and training to other teachers.

I also worked part time as an English literature lecturer for the Canadian international school of beijing.

I also have experience in beijing as a home tutor for the company Topkids although this was rare work.

About the lesson

My teaching method is tailored to the class I will teach, the age, nationality, the levels of productivity and acquisition, previous test results, input from students and where possible; I would outline a balanced curriculum that would benefit a student taking a particular exam topic or set of topics.

I base my lesson structure around having fun whilst we learn, but sensibly, in a lighthearted fashion. Time constraints on activities are normal but frequent activities will be given to keep the brain active and the students mind responsive. There will always be the part of the lesson that will be stressed upon for more focus, more attention to detail which is daunting but the activities I plan are to solidify the concepts that may be frightening to understand at first.
