About Sidrah

I am a British qualified ICT and Computer Science teacher with over 8 years of experience teaching in secondary schools across the UK and the UAE. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in ICT (1st class honors) and a PGCE in Computer Science, both from Manchester Metropolitan University (UK). I have taught students across KS3, KS4, and KS5, supporting learners from early secondary through to College.

I became a teacher because I enjoy helping students understand subjects that they often find challenging and watching their confidence grow over time. I am particularly passionate about ICT and Computer Science because these skills are becoming increasingly important in the modern world and can open many opportunities for students in the future.

Over the years, I have worked with a wide range of learners with different abilities and learning styles. This has helped me develop a patient, adaptable, and supportive teaching approach that ensures every student can succeed.
I am now offering online tutoring to support students outside the classroom, providing more personalized attention and focused exam preparation to help them reach their full potential.

About the lesson

My lessons are delivered online in a clear, structured, and supportive way. I adapt each session to the student’s needs, whether they require help catching up, preparing for exams, or extending their knowledge. I focus on breaking down complex topics into simple steps and ensuring students fully understand key concepts before moving on.

I regularly support students with topics such as:
- Coding (Scratch, Python, Microbits)
- Data representation and computer systems
- MS software - Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc
- Exam preparation and revision techniques
- Homework and coursework support

I create a calm and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress at their own pace. My goal is not only to improve grades, but also to help students develop confidence and independent learning skills.

Lessons are conducted online, and I provide clear explanations, practice questions, and feedback to support continued improvement.

I offer an initial free session to assess the student’s needs and create a personalized learning plan.
