My approach towards teaching is geared not towards remembering vast amounts of information or content, but rather is focused on creating effective practices in processing information in order to develop stronger critical thinking skills that can be applied not only to History, but to any other topic or field.
If you think of our brains as computers, I aim not to increase it's storage space, but instead to increase it's processing power. In my experience, it is in honing these skills that increase a persons results and academic performance.
In more practical academic terms, my methodology focuses on skills such as recognizing what a question is asking, and how to form the strongest answer to questions, which in turn provide you with strong academic results.
I'm currently undergoing my Honours year at the Australian National University in History, and am looking to help those who struggle with History in the academic form, in their writing, argumentative form, or comprehension of knowledge.
I've performed at a high level in the academic field of History throughout my entire schooling career, including both my Undergraduate degree and Higher School Certificate. I believe a have the approach and the techniques to increase both overall knowledge and academic performance in History, or similar areas within the Humanities (philosophy, English, anthropology, etc.).
