My approach is built around understanding, not memorization. Before diving into any problem, I make sure the underlying concept actually makes sense. I ask a lot of questions to find exactly where the confusion starts and work from there.
A typical session starts with a quick check-in: what did we cover last time, what homework or tests came back, what felt unclear? From there we might work through new material together, revisit something that didn't stick, or grind through practice problems with you explaining your reasoning so I can see exactly where your thinking goes off track and fix it there.
What sets me apart is hands-on experience with students in the exact same situation. Through my school's National Honor Society I've worked with around 50 high school students, I've been a private tutor for two years, and I TA for AP Calculus AB — that's a lot of different people, different levels, and different ways of learning. It has made me comfortable adapting to a student's needs; I don't have one method I stick to, rather I figure out how you think and work from there.
Whether you're trying to keep up, catch up, or get ahead — I'm happy to help. Looking forward to working with you!
