About Bryce

I am an Engineer in both Information Technology and Lighting. I have a passion for photography and creativity, combining my love for technology and light, this became a successful side hobby. I self studied and developed my knowledge over several years, now incorporating photography into all aspects of my professional life. I shoot weddings for friends, architectural images of completed projects through to children, family groups and pets. Chasing scenery through my holiday adventures or simply shooting street scenes whilst on a business trip, my camera is always at my side !

About the lesson

I enjoy providing tailored one on one or small group sessions setup to meet their exact needs. Photography can be very specific to an individual, such as someone who simply wants to learn the technical side of their camera and then focus on portraiture such that they can take great photos of their Kids or Landscape and Lighting for wonderful holiday shots. I am able to instruct on the full technical side of handling a DSLR camera from Lighting, ISO, Manual and Auto Modes. From a photographic perspective I am happy to prepare teaching scenarios based on an individuals learning needs, such as Portraiture or Landscape etc. I can offer mid level editing expertise using either Adobe Light Room or Apple Aperture/Photos depending on client equipment. My lessons are not limited to DSLR, should you wish to simply learn how to take better photos on your SmartPhone or Automatic camera, I more than happy to assist.

Bryce is a great photography teacher. Very patient, detailed and precise. I first learnt from Bryce about 10 years ago when he was offering landscape/cityscape photography in London, UK and we did a night shoot of Big Ben (in the mist) and the London Eye in the day (ask him for the pics as I have them mounted on my wall)
He then taught me how to do macro photos as he came to take photos of my baby girls 1st birthday.
Will work with Bryce again as I trust his service & like his caring style!

Details

I am flexible as to where training takes place. Within 5km of my home, travel will be free. Should students wish to come to my home for lessons, there will be no travel charge. Should we be travelling to a specific venue or place to take photos, I will discuss travel costs on an individual bases.

Our first session will be a 30 Minute Free session to discuss the basics of your camera, your expectations and develop a tuition plan going forward.

I can also offer buying guidance and advice, there are many cameras out there from DSLR to Mirror-less, Compact, along with many lens types, bags and other extras. I will assist with helping you to identify your needs, budget and thus guiding you to the most effective setup.
