About Anastasia
I'm a graduate in Economics and Management who has always enjoyed maths. Having moved countries several times growing up, maths was one of the things that felt familiar and consistent wherever I was (and whatever language I was studying in), which helped me build confidence along the way.
I'd like to teach it because I enjoy helping others understand things in a calm, supportive environment. My main aim is to make maths seem more approachable and less like rocket science, because I believe it can be understood by anyone with the right guidance.

I begin with an initial assessment to identify strengths, gaps in understanding and exam targets. From there, I can create a personalised learning plan aligned with the GCSE syllabus and exam board.
Lessons focus on 3 key stages:
1. Concept understanding: I explain mathematical concepts clearly using simple examples and real-life applications.
2. Guided practice: working through exam-style questions together, breaking down problem-solving techniques step by step.
3. Exam preparation: regular past paper practice, time management strategies and common exam techniques.
Homework and optional practice materials are provided after lessons to reinforce learning, and I regularly track progress to ensure continuous improvement.
