About Millie
Hi! I’m a biology graduate with a lifelong love of science—especially anything to do with how living things work. Curiosity has always been a big part of who I am, and it’s what led me not only to study biology, but also to take on an exciting new challenge: I’m currently training to become a pilot!
When I’m not in the air or studying, I really enjoy helping others learn. I’ve worked as a teaching assistant, so I understand how to support students in a way that’s patient, encouraging, and tailored to them. I know that everyone learns differently, and I’m always happy to adapt to what works best for you.
I’d describe myself as friendly, approachable, and easy to talk to—so no question is ever a “silly” one. I like to keep sessions relaxed and even a bit fun where possible, because I think people learn best when they feel comfortable and engaged.

I believe tutoring works best when it feels relaxed, supportive, and genuinely helpful. Biology can sometimes seem complicated or full of tricky terminology, so my aim is to make it feel clear, interesting, and much easier to understand.
As a biology graduate, I break topics down into simple, manageable steps and explain them in a way that suits each student. I like to use real-life examples and diagrams to make ideas stick, rather than just relying on memorisation. My goal is to help students actually *understand* what they’re learning, not just get through it.
I keep sessions interactive and encourage students to ask questions, think things through, and build confidence as they go. Everyone learns differently, so I adapt my approach depending on what works best—whether that’s visual explanations, practice questions, or structured revision.
I also support students with exam technique, helping them understand how to approach questions and avoid common mistakes, so they can feel more confident going into exams.
Most importantly, I try to create a friendly, pressure-free environment where students feel comfortable asking anything and making progress at their own pace.
