About Hunter
I'm Hunter, recent graduate of Mathematics from the University of Wollongong, Australia. After I graduated at the end of 2025, I joined my family in a move to Sunderland. Throughout my years at university I tutored part-time to high school students locally. This helped me refine and shape my mathematics knowledge as I understood more complex ideas, forcing my previous knowledge to become instant or trivial. Exam skills, memory tricks, and a good calculator were keys for me saving time on problems and being confident in my scores in exams. For me, I love sharing knowledge and the tricks I learnt because I don't want to keep taking tests myself.

Having studied mathematics at university I understand the progression learning takes and ways to strategise approaches to problems. I believe that strong fundamentals, understanding how to use your calculator efficiently, and how to generalise problems improve learning and exam skills.
My lessons begin with gauging what topics the student is currently working on and understand what problems they are making. My approach is not to rote learn but break down problems and solve them (well, I am a mathematician) in a personal tailored approach.
I have previously tutored in NSW, Australia teaching HSC Mathematics Advanced, Extension I and II (highest level for senior high school under NESA) which teach a similar syllabus. Taking the course myself, I was awarded a distinction in both Extension I and II.
