Hi, I’m Abel! I recently graduated with my BSc in Medical Sciences from the University of Pretoria, and I’m currently pursuing my postgraduate studies here. When I’m not in the library or the lab, you can find me on the rugby field. I play semi-professional rugby for UP-Tuks, and we are the reigning Varsity Cup Champions!
Balancing elite-level sport with a demanding medical science degree has taught me the value of structure, focus, and practical study habits. I don't just teach the material—I teach students how to build the confidence and logical mindset needed to tackle tough school challenges.

Logical, Practical, and Focused on the Fundamentals
I offer tutoring in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, General Sciences, and Biology (and I am happy to assist with English schoolwork as well).
Here is my realistic approach to how we will tackle these subjects:
Maths, Physics, Chemistry & General Science (The Problem-Solving Core): These are my favourite subjects because they rely on pure logic rather than raw memorisation. I will teach you how to look at a complex equation, word problem, or chemical reaction, strip away the confusion, and tackle it step-by-step using the same systematic methods I used to get through my BSc.
Biology (The Honest Approach): Let’s be real—biology is mostly self-study and memorisation. There is not much a tutor can "teach" you that isn't already in your textbook. Instead of charging you to read slides, my job here will be helping you structure your study sessions, break down heavy chapters, and share the active recall techniques I used to master massive amounts of medical science content.
A Relaxed, Relatable Environment: I’m a student myself, so I know exactly how stressful school can get. There are no dumb questions here—just a comfortable, zero-pressure space to figure things out.
Active Practice over Boring Lectures: We will work through practical problems together, pinpoint exactly where your logic breaks down, and practice until the method clicks and you can do it confidently on your own.
