About Ana Maritza
I am a friendly, open-minded and motivated person who enjoys learning and teaching others what I know. I am very organised and enjoy planning my classes according to each student's particular needs and preferences. I have really enjoyed working in teaching and mentoring roles in the past, as I tend to get along well with students and find it to be an extremely rewarding role.
I have a genuine passion for Sociology, as I believe it is a way to really discover the world, through researching and learning more about those around us.
I am half Spanish and half English and grew up in the South of England whilst going back to Spain often to see my family. I am fully bilingual and feel closely connected to both countries.

I have experience in mentoring college and secondary school students in Sociology, helping to prepare essays or presentations, and explaining different theories and fields of Sociology.
My lessons would be suitable for students studying GCSE and A-Level Sociology, or preparing to study a degree in Sociology.
Lessons can vary in duration according to the pupil's preference from 30 minutes to one hour. In terms of teaching, I like to tailor the session to the student and how they learn best. In the past, I have employed conceptual flashcards, question and answer sessions, learning games and lecture-style teaching with notes.
