About Cherrvee
I am a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Science student at Mindanao State University – Bataraza Extension, with a strong academic background in Science and Science Education. As a future Science teacher, I am committed to creating lessons that are clear, engaging, and appropriate for each student's level.
I am patient, approachable, and dedicated to helping students understand Science rather than simply memorize information. I prepare my lessons carefully and adjust my teaching strategies based on each learner's needs, strengths, and areas for improvement.
Whether you need help with a difficult Science topic, homework, quizzes, or exam preparation, I will provide structured guidance and clear explanations throughout our lessons. I value professionalism, respect, and open communication, and I aim to make every session a comfortable and productive learning experience.
My goal is to help every student become more confident in Science while developing a stronger understanding of the subject.

As a BSEd Science major, I believe that effective tutoring is not just about giving students information. It is about helping them understand concepts, ask questions, and become more confident in learning Science.
My teaching approach is student-centered, interactive, and personalized. I first identify what the student already knows and which parts of the topic they find difficult. From there, I adjust my explanations, pacing, and activities according to their needs.
I use simple explanations, real-life examples, visual aids, diagrams, guided problem-solving, and practice exercises to make Science concepts easier to understand. Instead of immediately giving students the answers, I guide them through the process and encourage them to explain their own reasoning. This helps develop both their knowledge and problem-solving skills.
A Typical Lesson
A typical lesson may follow this structure:
1. Quick review – We begin by reviewing previous lessons or checking what the student already knows about the topic.
2. Introduction to the topic – I introduce the new concept using simple explanations and relatable examples.
3. Guided learning – We work through examples together, with me explaining each step and answering questions along the way.
4. Practice – The student works on exercises or problems with my guidance. I provide feedback and clarify areas that are still confusing.
5. Independent application – The student tries a few questions independently to check their understanding.
6. Recap – We summarize the most important ideas and identify anything that needs more practice or review.
I can also adjust this structure depending on whether the student needs homework assistance, exam preparation, concept review, or long-term academic support.
What Sets Me Apart
What I believe sets me apart is my combination of Science knowledge and teacher training. As a BSEd Science student, I am learning not only the subject itself but also different ways of making lessons understandable and engaging for learners.
I am also patient and willing to explain a concept in different ways. If one explanation doesn't work, I don't expect the student to simply memorize it—I try another approach until the idea becomes clearer.
I want my students to feel comfortable saying, "I don't understand yet." There is no shame in asking questions or making mistakes. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students can learn at their own pace while gradually becoming more confident and independent.
Who My Lessons Are For
My lessons are primarily for:
Elementary students who need support in basic Science
Junior High School students (Grades 7–10)
Students who need help with General Science, Biology, Chemistry, or basic Physics
Students preparing for quizzes, examinations, and school assessments
Students who need help understanding difficult Science concepts
Students who want additional practice or academic support outside the classroom
I am especially interested in helping students who feel that Science is difficult or confusing. You don't have to be a "Science person" to learn Science. With the right explanation, practice, and guidance, difficult concepts can become much easier to understand.
My goal is not simply to help students get the correct answer, but to help them understand how they arrived at it.
