About Gina
Good day!
My name is Gina de Freitas and I am an educator full of passion, enthusiasm and a zest for life! I have an infinity for children and love to see little young minds sore to new heights, push through their boundaries and achieve the impossible. My personal stance is that it is a privilege to nurture, teach, guide and spend time with children. This is why I decided to study a Post Graduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) and I look forward to a long career of changing lives in the classroom one day at a time.

I like to connect with a student on their level. Meeting someone on their level of understanding is so important as one learns best when they feel heard, understood and their learning styles are taken into consideration. It is vital that one determines what the child understands about the topic before you as the educator starts explaining something. One should engage with a child in a way that they can explain their thoughts, feelings, knowledge, opinions etc. about atopic. This way, there is a solid foundation to build on.
The language I am proficient and bale to teach in is in English.
Students can expect a vibrant lesson, full of energy, fun, passion and creativity. However, a balance between the above and focus, working hard and giving their best to the task at hand is essential.
My lessons are aimed at students from Grade 4 - Grade 9.
