About Shreya
I am a university student with a proven track record of working with young people across a range of ages and settings. I achieved an A in A-Level Maths and hold academic and music scholarships from my time at school, reflecting both my dedication and ability. My teaching experience is hands-on and varied. I have volunteered at a local primary school supporting children's reading development, and worked as an Education in Human Values assistant with students aged 11 to 14 - a role I was invited into based on my approach with young people. Beyond formal settings, I have been sought out by families in my local community for private tutoring, which I take as a genuine endorsement of my teaching style. I understand that maths can feel overwhelming at times. Having worked through the challenges of the subject myself, I know how to break difficult concepts down into clear, manageable steps - and I bring patience and encouragement to every session.

I am well-equipped to support students across all GCSE maths topics, bringing both strong subject knowledge and a considered approach to teaching. Growing up with a father who is a university professor in Mathematical Sciences has given me a deep understanding of the subject - and, crucially, an insight into how to explain it clearly and effectively. I know that maths can feel like one of the more daunting subjects, which is why I focus on making each session as engaging and stress-free as possible. I work closely with parents to understand each student's individual learning style, ensuring that every lesson is tailored to their specific needs and pace.
