About Jiwon

Hello! I'm Jiwon, your tutor here to teach you Korean and introduce you to Korea.

I majored in early childhood education at university, where I've taught kindergarten kids to read, write, and speak Hangul in a fun and easy way. After graduation, I worked as a content creator at an education company. My specialty is turning complex topics into exciting educational games and customized lesson materials that students can enjoy.

I’m currently staying in Sydney to step out of my comfort zone and see more of the world.

About the lesson

[Level A1] Absolute Beginner

Your Status
I can't read Hangul (Korean alphabet) yet, or I'm still confused by it.
I only know basic words or sentences like "Annyeong-haseyo” or “Gamsahamnida

Our Goal
- Master Hangul: Understand the scientific logic behind the letters
- First Steps: Build your very first sentences using the basic Korean word order

[Level A2] The Survival Learner

Your Status
I can read Hangul, but my reading speed is slow and double consonants are difficult for me.
I tend to speak in single words and often feel confused about how to use particles

Our Goal
- Particle Mastery: Learn how to "glue" words together to make your sentences sound natural.
- Survival Training: Real-life role-plays for restaurants, shopping, and traveling.

[Level A3] The Daily Connector

Your Status
I can ask and answer simple questions about familiar topics but I still rely on repetitive patterns.
I want to distinguish between past, present, and future tenses, but it doesn't come out naturally yet

Our Goal
- Cultural Context: Dive into the Korean mindset—the "Why" behind the words.
- Flow & Connection: Learn to use connectors to speak in longer, more sophisticated sentences.
