About Zulma

Students grappling with complex word problems or competition math requirements form the core of my practice. I sit with learners as they deconstruct arithmetic hurdles, tracking their progress through 500 sessions across 4 years of instruction. My approach avoids grand tests, choosing to check understanding constantly in small ways. I arrived at this work after an engineering career, favoring a clear, structured path to independence that leaves you ready for SAT or ACT challenges.

About the lesson

Admitting that I struggled with math the long way round helps me simplify abstract concepts for others. My BS Mathematics background from Cornell University ensures that every step we take is grounded in logical rigor rather than rote memorization.

I provide weekly practice worksheets with step-by-step solutions to reinforce the 9.0 level of mastery you expect. This method creates a clear, exam-focused environment where your independent growth is the primary goal.
