About Stephen

Stephen Sunday Sharang holds a BSc. (Hons.) Degree in Accounting, an MBA degree from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and a Ph.D. in International Business and Finance from Ecole Superieure (Universite) Robert de Sorbon, Nancy, France, obtained in 2008.

A much sought-after conference speaker, lecturer, and facilitator, He has authored more than 20 (twenty) highly acclaimed books on Business, Consulting, and Public sector financial reporting published in the first world jurisdiction (the U.S and UK)

His overriding objective is to add value by deploying knowledge and skills acquired from years of research and work in the private and public sectors of the economy in the fields of administration, management, finance, accounting, economics, and international business to be helpful in creating the synergy required for the achievement of set goals and objectives of any organization.

Professor Sharang is a tutor at the American Trinity University, California. In recognition of his contribution to the great works of Western civilization, he was appointed and awarded the and the Full/ Senior Fellowship (Professorship Equivalent; Fellows recruited as Professor Tutors when there are vacancies) of the American Trinity University, California (Formerly Trinity College)

Professor Sunday Stephen Sharang holds the prestigious CPA Ireland Professional Accountancy Qualification and is a Fellow of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria. He is also a Fellow of the International Academy of Management, London, UK; a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Economists of Nigeria; a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Finance and Control of Nigeria; a Member of the Academy of International Business, Michigan State University, USA; a Member, Nigerian Institute of Management, 2003; and a Member, Association of National Accountants of Nigeria, among others.

Professor Sunday Stephen Sharang teaches and supervises undergraduate and postgraduate students of the Commonwealth of Learning and National the Open University of Nigeria Executive Masters of Business Administration and Executive Masters in Public Administration Joint Programs, where he teaches advanced statistics and quantitative techniques, advanced financial management, and financial accounting, among others.

He also lectures on financial accounting and public sector financial reporting at the Chartered Institute of Public Finance & Accountancy, UK, and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria Joint Professional Program hosted by the Federal Treasury Academy in Orozo, Abuja.

As a lecturer/facilitator and project supervisor per excellence of PGD and MBA students of the School of Management and Human Resources, the National Open University of Nigeria, (NOUN) Abuja Center, he is also a lecturer of advanced financial accounting, and advanced financial management at the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) Professional Classes, Abuja Center.

Professor Stephen Sunday Sharing is widely traveled and has lived and worked in Nigerian Foreign Missions as the Finance Attache and Head of the Finance and Accounts Department of some Nigerian Embassies, particularly in Paris, France, and the Capital of Europe, Brussels, Belgium, where he directed their financial affairs.

He is married, has children, and loves music and sports.

About the lesson

I approach each topic by getting the students to understand the reason for doing anything. By this, I mean that I like to get the student to understand the purpose of anything to be able to comprehend it. Thankfully they always do.
