About Genevieve
"Patience defines my role as a language mentor. I sit with a student and we slowly untangle the rhythm of a new sentence until it sounds like their own voice. My 13 years of teaching involve 392 students, including working professionals, intermediate learners, kids, and absolute beginners. I emphasize everyday phrases for beginners, vocabulary building, cultural context, reading comprehension, and business French.
Teaching is a dialogue. My BMus background from Berklee College of Music informs how I listen to the cadence of speech. I hope to provide a space where you feel comfortable making mistakes while we navigate the language together."

"Many learners struggle to bridge the gap between textbook grammar and actual conversation. I simplify this by focusing on functional communication for working professionals, intermediate learners, kids, and absolute beginners. We prioritize usable vocabulary and cultural context over rote memorization.
My approach is structured. You will gain confidence through consistent practice of everyday phrases and business French. Reading comprehension becomes a natural byproduct of our discussions. I am here to support your growth as you find your voice in French."
