About Sergey

I'm a Business Intelligence Analyst with 5+ years of hands-on experience working with SQL and data every day. I hold a degree in Computer Science from the French University in Armenia.

My career has covered several data roles. I started as a Database Analyst, then worked as a SQL Developer and Business Analyst. I now work as a BI Analyst at SoftConstruct, a large international tech company. My work includes writing complex queries, building data pipelines, designing dashboards, and turning raw data into business insights.

Because I use SQL professionally, I know which skills matter most in real jobs and interviews, and I focus my lessons on them. I explain concepts clearly, break difficult topics into simple steps, and adapt to each student's pace and goals.

I'm patient, organized, and reliable, and I enjoy helping people gain confidence with data. My goal is for you to leave each lesson able to write better queries on your own.

About the lesson

My SQL lessons are practical and built around real-world data, so you learn skills you can use right away at work, in your studies or in job interviews.

We start with a short assessment of your level and goals, then follow a structured, personalized plan. Beginners learn the foundations: SELECT, filtering, sorting, aggregations and joins. More advanced students work on subqueries, CTEs, window functions, query optimization and data modeling.

Every lesson is hands-on. You write queries yourself on realistic datasets, such as sales, customers and user activity, and I explain the logic behind each solution step by step. I also share how SQL is actually used in business intelligence, including building reports, analyzing KPIs and preparing data for dashboards.

I also help with SQL interview preparation, practice tasks and university assignments. Lessons are held online and adapted to your pace. After each session, you get exercises to practice and clear feedback to help you progress quickly and confidently.
